Unless stated otherwise, this Privacy Policy exclusively regulates how the GFIU treats your personal data. In case you make use of services provided by third parties, the privacy policy conditions of these third parties apply exclusively. The GFIU does not revise the privacy policy conditions of third parties.

  3. Collection of data Generally, you can access our web services without disclosing any personal data to us. It is always your choice whether or not to provide us with your personal data. In addition, specific parts of information, e.g. IP-addresses, browser types and access times, are automatically transferred by your computer and saved on our server. The IP-address is the worldwide valid, unique identification of your computer that consists of four number blocks separated by dots. Mostly, as a private user, you will not use a constant IP-address because it is only temporarily assigned to you by your provider. Nonetheless, by static IP-addresses a definite assignment of user data is principally still possible. Except for the purpose of the prosecution of illegal access to our web services we generally do not use this personal data. Only on an anonymous and aggregated basis, we evaluate such information as which of our web sites are favoured, the number of daily visits etc.

The GFIU exclusively transmits your personal data to the following extent:  We maintain the right to transmit your personal data to companies connected to the GFIU which are controlled by the GFIU. These companies are either subject to this privacy policy or ensure a privacy policy which is at least as effective. Additionally it might occur that we assign other companies or individual people with the completion of particular tasks and services. For example we assign service providers with the analysis and usage of our Internet services. These service providers only have access to your data to the extent which is necessary for the completion of their tasks. These service providers are obliged to treat you data according to this privacy policy and the relevant data protection statutes. In the case that the GFIU, companies controlled by the GFIU, particular affiliated companies or shares of the company are sold, your customer information will generally be passed on with the transmitted part of the company. Of course, in this case your data is also subject to this privacy policy and the relevant data protection statutes.
  7. Deletion of data If your data is no longer necessary for the above-mentioned purposes including the settlement, it will be deleted. If the data is required for tax purposes, it will be blocked. This data is no longer available for further usage.
  8. Amendment of this privacy policy The GFIU reserves the right to amend this privacy policy if necessary in order to adapt to future changes of the usage of your personal data.
